Internet Mobile Marketing Expected To Boom in 2012

With over 200 million (both CDMA and GSM) mobile subscribers as compared to 35 million internet users, absolutely mobile marketing offers a wider audience base.

A current study by the European Interactive Advertising Association (EIAA) has found that browsing the mobile web is more even popular than reading newspapers or magazines.
The study also shows that on average 71 million Europeans use the internet on their mobile each week – for an average time of almost one hour every day.

Now, the internet mobile marketing is growing, especially in the platforms of the iPhone and Android platforms. As a matter of fact, reports say that the emerging market will account form more than a quarter of revenue from mobile apps by 2012.

It is also forecasted on the report that mobile app downloads are set to rise for over 50 billion within the next two years. Revenue from these downloads are reported to increase by 62 percent.

By the year 2012, it is predicted that online marketing services targeted at mobile users will account for more than 28 percent of app revenue. The figure is even higher in developing markets, like China and India and Europe.
